DPhil Student, Research Assistant; MScR, BSc

Melissa studied Psychology at Lancaster University where her research focused on eye movements in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. Subsequently, she pursued a Master’s degree in Translational Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh, honing her expertise in metabolic psychiatry. Presently, Melissa contributes to the OxQUIP study as both a DPhil student and research assistant, conducting telemedicine clinics as part of Phase 2. Her DPhil research centres around enhancing diagnostic and disease monitoring methodologies. In particular, Melissa is keen on leveraging insights from eye movements and cognitive data to advance our comprehension of motor progression in Parkinson’s disease.
